The June 2015 sales of Impressionist & Modern Art achieved a combined total of £207.8 million, with the Evening Sale realising £178.6 million - the second highest total for any sale ever held in London with seven lots fetching over £10 million. The sale was led by Gustav Klimt's captivating 1902 ' Portrait of Gertrud Loew' which sold for £24.8 million. The top lot of the Day Sale was Paul Gauguin's 'Le Poulailler' which more than doubled its low estimate to sell for £665,000, and the collection of unique Picasso ceramics belonging to the artist's granddaughter was 100% sold in a 'white glove' sale that soared past the high estimate to achieve £12.3 million.
