The Drunkard, a Circa 1900 Musical Automaton from the Important Watches and Clocks Sale

In this musical automaton from Gustave Vichy, the figure with a papier mâché head, fitted wool suit and leather shoes is seated with bottle in one hand. He raises the bottle to his lips, lurching from side to side, eyes opening and closing before he wobbles on the bench and finally falls asleep; the work was a highlight of June 2012's Important Watches and Clocks sale.
