On 24 June, more than 170 collector cars and select memorabilia will go under the hammer during RM Sotheby’s Santa Monica auction. In partnership with Auctions America, the sale will take place at California’s historic Barker Hangar. Whether you are looking to spend less than $50,000 or more than $250,000, RM Sotheby’s Santa Monica auction offers a spectacular array of cars spanning more than 80 years of automobile history.   • Under $500:
    Red Racer Pedal Car by American Retro. Estimate $200–300.
    Designed like the famous 1950s-era grand prix racecars, this delightful children’s pedal car is finished in red and fitted with chrome wheels with knock-off spinners, a chrome steering wheel, chrome windshield and chrome grille. Arguably the most affordable offering at Santa Monica, this pedal car is sure to appeal to auto enthusiasts of any and all ages.

  • Under $50,000:
    1959 Ford Galaxie 500 V-8 Sunliner. Estimate $25,000–35,000.
    This beautiful Ford Galaxie is powered by the Thunderbird Special V-8 engine, which produces 300 horsepower and is paired with the optional Cruise-O-Matic transmission. With its unique colour combination, stainless steel rear fender skirts and deluxe wheel covers, this car is a true head turner.

  • Under $50,000:
    1973 BMW 3.0 CS. Estimate $25,000–35,000.
    This two-owner California car has lived a very nice life. The consignor has owned the car since 1988 and has kept the 3.0 CS in pristine condition, with regular servicing completed by GNW Motors. Included with the BMW is the original factory tool kit.

  • Under $50,000:
    1983 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. Estimate $45,000–55,000.
    Previously owned by an energy company, this FJ40 Land Cruiser has benefitted from a frame-off restoration presented in factory-correct White with a new soft top and re-upholstered Tangerine interior. It is powered by a fully serviced 2f 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine. With new air conditioning, this FJ40 is ready for its next off-road adventure.

    1983 Rolls-Royce Corniche Drophead Coupe by Mulliner Park Ward. Estimate $65,000–75,000.
    Presented in an exquisite shade of Red with a Carmel leather interior, this stunning, one-owner car has covered less than 12,300 miles. Serviced regularly, $5,000 was spent on a recent engine sorting.

  • Under $100,000:
    2000 Ferrari 360 Modena F1. Estimate $70,000–80,000.
    Originally purchased in Arizona, this one-owner car has covered less than 25,000 miles from new. Always serviced at Ferrari of Scottsdale, it includes over $30,000 in service receipts; recent work includes a major engine service and new tires within the last 1,500 miles. Its original Bill of Sale, window sticker, books, tools and cover accompany the car.

    1991 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe. Estimate $80,000–110,000.
    Options on this 911, a well-maintained, original car, showing less than 55,000 miles on the odometer, include a limited-slip differential, sunroof and Rolf (supple leather), including seat backs. This car also comes with the tools, air pump and compact spare.

    1948 Chrysler Town and Country Convertible. Estimate $100,000–140,000.
    Offered from a prominent private collection, this largely original Chrysler Town and Country has only been cosmetically restored. One of Chrysler’s most prestigious post-war models, it is now recognised as a Full Classic by the Classic Car Club of America.

  • Under $200,000:
    1960 Porsche 356 B 1600 Roadster by Drauz. Estimate $175,000–210,000.
    Brilliantly restored in original Ruby Red, this late-production removable chrome windshield B is a stunning example of the Porsche marque. It is substantially dressed up with a set of reproduction knockoff wheels, which can be removed through the utilisation of the included tool kit. The car sits upon high-speed-rated blackwall radials, which highlight its mission to be a show-quality driver, but for authenticity, or perhaps show use, a set of correct steel wheels are also included.

  • Under $200,000:
    1934 Packard Twelve Club Sedan. Estimate $185,000–225,000.
    A 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance contender, this Packard received a frame-off restoration completed to the highest standards. One of only a handful of Packard Twelve Club Sedans built, this CCCA Full Classic in an ideal CARavan candidate.

  • Over $200,000:
    2003 BMW Z8 Alpina. Estimate $215,000–245,000.
    The Z8 is a modern interpretation of the classic BMW 507. The mechanically improved Alpina editions are highly sought after, and this example is no exception. The car on offer is number 343 of 555, and one of only 450 U.S.-specification cars produced.

  • Over $200,000:
    1966 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage. Estimate $275,000–325,000.
    This stunning Aston Martin features a factory-upgraded 325-horsepower Vantage engine and ZF five-speed transmission. An original left-hand-drive example, it was equipped from new with air conditioning. A copy of its factory build sheet, documenting extensive post-delivery service history, accompanies the car. This beautiful luxury British sports car is ideal for rallying and driving events.
