On 23 October, Gary Metzner and Helyn Goldenberg of Sotheby’s Chicago welcomed guests for a private dinner and preview of Magnificent Gestures, masterworks from the Diamonstein-Spielvogel Collection at the Arts Club of Chicago. The superb collection, which celebrates the primacy of drawing, will lead Sotheby’s November sales of Impressionist & Modern and Contemporary Art in New York. In an intimate library setting, Sotheby’s Molly Ott Ambler and David Galperin toured guests through the remarkable highlights, including rare works on paper by René Magritte, Joan Miró, Jasper Johns and others.
