On the evening of 2 May, Katharine Thomas and Nate Borgelt of Sotheby’s hosted a reception and preview of highlights from the upcoming Important Watches sale. The extraordinary timepieces, including a rare yellow gold Patek Philippe, were on display in an equally elegant venue: the Baccarat Hotel on West 53rd Street, where Sotheby’s is hosting a lounge for friends and clients to enjoy through 12 May. Members of the watch trade enjoyed cocktails and limited-edition tar-inspired ruffles created by Vosges chocolates in collaboration with Sotheby’s. Click ahead for images from the gathering.
