The Voyage à Rome sale in Paris on 4 May features the second part of the private collection from January's New York sale, The Road to Rome. While the first part focused on some of the great Italian painters of the late 18th century, this second catalogue also includes a wonderful group of neo-classical objects by some of the most famous artisans of the period including Valadier, Righetti, Raffaelli and Aguatti and celebrates the artistic and cultural quest that flourished in Rome at the end of the Enlightenment.
