Though Man Ray was perhaps best known in America for his work in photography, he was dedicated to a host of media including sculpture, film and painting, the latter of which he concentrated on increasingly in the later stage of his output. It is perhaps not surprising then, that 125 years after his birth, the market has supported Man Ray as a painter above all else.
