– The summer sales season in London provided much to celebrate with more than £238 million sold over three weeks. Highlights ranged from Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Warrior, which sold for £5.6 million, and Joan Miró’s Peinture (Étoile Bleue) which sold for £23.6 million, to a previously unknown gold and turquoise ring that belonged to Jane Austen, which brought £152,450, five times its pre-sale estimate.
