At the memorial service for the great watchmaker and collector George Daniels.
LONDON – On 16 April, a memorial service was held at St. George’s, Hanover Square for the great horologist George Daniels. Dr. Daniels passed away peacefully at his home on the Isle of Man on 21 October 2011. In addition to his legacy in watch innovation, creating the co-axial movement that has gained appreciation in the watchmaking community, George Daniels was also an avid collector. The extraordinary collection of watches and clocks that belonged to Dr. Daniels will be auctioned at Sotheby’s 6 November 2012.
