Led by Orazio Gentileschi's Baroque masterpiece Danaë, sold to the J. Paul Getty Museum for $30.5 million, Masters Week garnered the strongest results seen in five years. Encompassing European paintings, drawings and sculpture from the 14th to the 19th century and including celebrated single owner collections such as The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman and The Road to Rome: Property from a Private Italian Collection, over 14 lots exceeded $1 million for a grand total of over $97.5 million.
