Consisting of 38 lots in total, the sale is a testament to Dr Yip’s tenacious pursuit of perfection and scholarly temperament.

Featuring over 20 fresh-to-market works by Yoshihara, this collection offers a chance to understand and acquire works of transitional and artistic importance covering the contemporary master’s four decades of creation – all of which were previously kept by the artist himself.

Taking place at the traditional and scenic Hakusasonso Garden and Museum in Kyoto, this exclusive preview returns to Kansai – origin of the Gutai art movement, coming full circle to where it began over 60 years ago.

Embodying The Dao of Martial Arts

The collection is comprised of Chang’s personal collection of Ju Ming’s sculptures covering his decades-long oeuvre, including works from the Taichi series and Living World series, as well as those depicting village life and farm animals – both popular motifs from his ‘Native Culture’ period.  Partial proceeds from the sale will be donated to Asia Art Archive and Moonchu Foundation.
