NEW YORK - Everyone knows that the foundation of any great cellar is a selection of classic Bordeaux. And while many collectors admire investment-worthy Bordeaux for their longevity, there is no need to wait decades to enjoy a great bottle. The Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux invites enthusiasts to experience the drinkability at their annual New York tasting event, hosted for the first time by Sotheby’s Wine Retail on 25 January at Sotheby’s York Avenue flagship. Nearly 100 top winemakers will pour their 2010 and 2013 vintages, some of which will be available for purchase on site at the Sotheby’s Wine Store, and guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres prepared by alumni of the Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), Ruinart Champagne and music by DJ You&Me. Limited tickets available on Eventbrite.
