The renowned photographer Cecil Beaton was an early guest at Chatsworth and he went on to capture the essence of the late Dowager Duchess, Deborah Devonshire and her dazzling social circle in a series of photographs. A selection of those portraits from the Cecil Beaton Studio Archive at Sotheby's, including rarely seen material, are on display in a new exhibition at the estate. The Never a Bore exhibition takes inspiration from one of Beaton's most famous remarks, "Perhaps the world's second-worst crime is boredom; the first is being a bore." Click ahead to view highlights.
