NEW YORK – An Eero Saarinen dining table, a print by Andy Warhol and a silver vintage coffee set – each of these objects stands alone in its beauty. But when they are artfully combined in the elegant interiors presented at Sotheby's third annual Designer Showhouse and Auction this spring, these extraordinary pieces will reveal their full aesthetic power.

For this year’s Showhouse, presented in association with Architectural Digest, twelve established and up-and-coming designers are curating signature rooms with unique pieces from a range of Sotheby’s departments, including 20th Century Design, Fine Art, Prints, Silver, Photography and English Furniture. At the end of the exhibition, collectors will have the opportunity to purchase their favourite items from a dedicated auction.

Here we highlight four of this year’s talented participants – Sandra Nunnerley, Bunny Williams, Jenny Wolf and Patrick Mele. They share their design philosophies and tips for new collectors, and reveal plans for their rooms. Please visit Sotheby’s between 9 and 16 April to tour the Showhouse: Our designers’ rooms are sure to inspire you – and you may just spot your next extraordinary object of desire to acquire at the auction on 17 April.
