NEW YORK – Over the weekend, chef Massimo Bottura prepared two sensational dinners to celebrate Sotheby’s upcoming Contemporary Art sale. The charming Bottura, whose Osteria Francescana in Modena has three Michelin stars, mingled with guests including Cindy Sherman, Daniel Boulud, Jeffrey Deitch and Hester Diamond. With paintings by Cy Twombly and Andy Warhol decking the room, diners savoured signature Bottura dishes like black and white truffle risotto and veal plated on colourful emulsions evoking Damien Hirst’s spin paintings. It was a meal that satisfied the eye as much as the palate.
