LONDON – Made circa 1880, this chair, described as 'An easy chair, loose-covered in off-white silk rep,' was lot 60 in the sale of items from the Estate of the late Sir Winston Churchill conducted by Knight, Frank & Rutley at 20 Hanover Square on 19 January 1966. It has since been re-upholstered in a damask modeled on the style of chairs remaining at Chartwell.
