Stating 'There is still a place in the line for you,' this poster is offered together with 24 further examples commissioned by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee in London in 1914-1916.

The Parliamentary Recruiting Committee or PRC was set up following the outbreak of war in August 1914 with the express aim of increasing troop numbers in Britain’s volunteer army. Although poster art had been widespread in advertising since the 1890s, the First World War saw the first extensive use of posters for the purpose of propaganda.
