LONDON – Russian-born Natalia Goncharova was an avant-garde painter who also dabbled in interior design, but she is perhaps best known for her groundbreaking costume and set designs, frequently collaborating with Sergei Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes. Over 250 works on paper formerly in the collection of the Lefebvre-Foinet Family will come to auction this autumn, providing a comprehensive overview of the career of one of the Russian avant-garde’s most important artists.
