HONG KONG - The city is buzzing this week as collectors, curators and art enthusiasts descend upon Hong Kong for Art Basel. On Tuesday evening, Sotheby’s Hong Kong Gallery was filled with over 200 guests celebrating the first solo exhibition with Sotheby's in Hong Kong of the young, Chinese artist, Song Yige. Notable guests included Teresa Yeung and Peter Lam, Dr Joseph Pang and Florence Chan, internationally renowned curator David Elliott, as well as award-winning film directors Teddy Chan Tak-sum and Susie Au. Spinning for the event was the talented musician Shane Aspegren, bridging his vision in music to the visual art on view.

The 24 works on view were executed between 2013 and 2014 and very much embody Song Yige’s unique interpretation of beauty. Sotheby’s is thrilled to have the opportunity to work so closely with this refined young artist and we’re so excited about the enthusiastic response her work has received. The selling exhibition Song Yige: Another Dimenstion continues through Sunday, May 18.
