Sotheby's Institute of Art graduate Nahema Mehta.

Career paths taken by graduates of Sotheby's Institute of Art include auctioneers, curators, gallery owners, museum directors. But job opportunities are not restricted to established roles in traditional arts and cultural institutions. A prime example of this new generation of art entrepreneurs: Nahema Mehta, whose company Art Remba is transforming the way collectors acquire art.

After earning her Master's in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute in New York and managing art funds, Nahema founded Art Remba, an NYC fine art club that lets users borrow and invest-to-own art from respected galleries and artists at accessible monthly rates. "Collectors love us because we make accessing art easy," Mehta says. "Galleries and artists love us because we place the art that they can't fit on their walls directly onto the walls of desirable audiences."

Nahema has appeared on Bloomberg TV and in The New York Times to talk about art as an alternative investment and the success of her start-up business.
