LONDON – It is vital for companies as well as individuals to engage with charities, and particularly, perhaps more than at any other time, at Christmas.

This year Sotheby’s will be supporting Kids Company, one of the most innovative and energetic charities in London. Founded by Camila Batmanghelidgh in 1996, Kids Company provides practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable children and young people across London.

As part of the decorations at Sotheby’s in New Bond Street will be Christmas trees decorated with special gift tags, showing the age and gender of a child. Staff and clients are invited to select a tag and purchase a gift up to a value of £15, returning the present to the front counter at Sotheby’s by Wednesday 19th December.

These will then be distributed to Kids Company centres in time for Christmas, ensuring that a child who would otherwise have nothing receives a gift. Every Christmas day, Kids Company hosts a magical party with entertainers, Santa’s grotto, food and presents for over 3,000 children who would otherwise have nothing to look forward to.

To buy a gift, donate time or money contact Kids Company directly at or go to – or come and choose a tag from one of our own Christmas trees.
