Mumbai

Sotheby’s Mumbai officially opened in September 2015, continuing its legacy of sharing the magic of art with India. Sotheby’s presence in India contributes to an already vibrant art ecosystem by bringing an international outlook to the currently thriving art scene.

The new office, headquartered at The Taj Mahal Palace & Tower Hotel in Mumbai, presents an expanded program of year-round events including selling and non-selling exhibitions, worldwide highlights from upcoming auctions, private sales, events, talks, and charity sales that reflect the spectrum of Sotheby's international sales and extensive client services, connecting a greater number of new and existing collectors in India with our global network of specialists and auctions.

Sotheby’s also offers educational events utilising the world-class expertise of Sotheby’s Institute of Art, with courses already held in Mumbai in September 2016 and in New Delhi in February 2017.

With the help of Sotheby's international experts in all areas of fine and decorative art, jewellery, wine, books and collectibles, the office is able to assist with any questions regarding buying or selling, or valuations. At present, we are actively seeking consignments in all collecting areas for inclusion in Sotheby's upcoming sales worldwide and in India. Kindly contact Sotheby’s in Mumbai to arrange a free and confidential valuation of your jewellery, watches and paintings. Our team is happy to assist you with questions relating to buying and selling with us.
