The artist's canvas has been strip-lined along the tacking edges. Ultra-violet light reveals some signs of retouching which are very minor given the overall size of the work, primarily near the framing edges and a few other scattered spots. Under U.V. light some areas, for example in the sky above the dome to the right and through the right-hand doorway, fluoresce blue-green however these certainly appear to be the artist's original pigments and not retouching. This painting is in good condition and ready to hang.
