Gold, enamel and opal brooch, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Circa 1910
Centring on a black opal within a textured surround of fruiting vine leaves decorated with blue and green enamel, accented with circular-cut sapphires and green garnets, signed Tiffany & Co.
Signed Tiffany & Co to plaque on reverse. Opal with blue, green and red colour, opal crazed. Enamel vine leaves with traces of wear to enamel and traces of restoration. One green garnet and one sapphire chipped. Safety catch to reverse to brooch fitting, secure. Evidence of some solder to reverse. Abrasions and tarnish to mount consistent with wear.
