Catalogue Note

The Rolex 1675 was introduced in 1959 and produced until 1980. It is the most famous GMT reference as well as one of the most sought-after models ever made by Rolex.
During its 21 years of production, the 1675 went through several evolutions of the case, the dial, movement and the bracelet.
This early 1675 from 1964 is fitted with an attractive gilt glossy dial. The gilt dials were produced until approximately 1967. The example present on this lot is the last generation, with tritium luminescent material and the Swiss -T. While the watch was worn everyday and enjoyed by its proud owner, it has survived with its original Guarantee, certificate and tag, a rarity for a watch from that period.
