Condition

The painting is in very good and original condition. The stretching appears to be original and both the stretcher and canvas are in very good condition. Staples have been added in between the original nails. Both the ground and paint layer appear to be in very good condition, stable and well attached. There are cracks throughout the composition, all of which appear to be stable. There is a retouch close to the left edge centre and a small one close to the upper left corner. The surface has remained unvarnished.
