Condition

The copper plate is flat and stable, the paint surface is dirty and the varnish discoloured. There are a handful of very fine horizontal scratches in the sky, upper right, the longest of which measures 0.5 cm. There is a pinprick loss in the head of the rightmost monkey. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a lack of intervention, save for a spot of retouching in the red coat of the leftmost monkey.
