Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down and affixed to the mount with transparent plastic corners at all four corners. There is tape remnants along all four edges of the reverse. Extreme edges are deckled with associated minor nicks, light abrasion, a few small tears (most of them repaired) and small paper losses. Examination under UV light reveals no evidence of retouching. There is a crease (approx. 2 cm long), with associated paint loss, running diagonally to the lower right corner. There are a few thin lines of stable craquelure in places, notably to the most thickly applied pigment and in the beige pigment in the upper right quadrant. There are a few superficial scratches in places, one of them with associated glue remnant in the green pigment towards the centre of the composition. The sheet is slightly light stained with a few humidity marks, inherent to the artistic process. This work is in overall good condition.
