Condition

Original canvas. Executed on Matadi flour bags. Please note that there is a vertical seam running the length of the canvas within the right hand side of the work where the canvas is joined. Please note that there is masking tape lining all four edges of the canvas There appears to be extensive cracking throughout the surface of the work, these cracks have lead to the surface of the work appearing destabilized in places and there is risk of further flaking/loss. Please also note that there are areas of minor to moderate surface loss throughout. This loss is particularly concentrated within the extremities of the work. The corners of the work also exhibit wear and associated loss. There appears to be some irregular folds in the canvas as well as fraying of the canvas within the upper right hand corner of the work. There are stretcher marks along all four edges of the work. Light stretcher bar marks visible on the recto of the work. There is also some minor flaking to the varnish throughout. UV Light Report: Inspection under the UV light shows no signs of restoration or repair. Frame: Please note that this work is stretched and unframed.
