Condition

Original canvas. Unlined. Canvas appears slightly unstable on the stretcher and could benefit from being secured further. Canvas exhibits minor buckling throughout. Please note that there are also creases to the canvas throughout, which could be an indication that the canvas has once been rolled. Upon close inspection, there appear to be cracks to the paint surface throughout as well as areas of minor loss. Most significant areas of loss can be found towards the extremities of the work. Please note that there are stretcher marks along all four edges of the work. There appear to be various areas of loss to the fibrous mesh material which has been collaged to the centre of the work. Surface impurities visible in places. UV Light Report: Inspection under UV light reveals no signs of restoration or repair. Frame: Please note the work is unframed and stretched.
