Condition

The sheet is adhered to the mount with two tabs of adhesive tape at the upper edge. There are Artist's pinholes at the upper corners. The sheet undulates very slightly, in keeping with the Artist's materials. There is an old restored horizontal tear in the upper third of the right edge, with a further shorter tear just above the first, with some further scattered repaired nicks to the extreme edges. There is some minor creasing to the sheet, most visible in the lower right quadrant. There are a few faint scattered scuffs to the work, visible upon close inspection. There are a few small flecks of foxing. There is some light surface dirt and a few small instances of surface matter and studio detritus. This excepting, the work appears in good overall condition. The work is window mounted and held behind glass in a gilt painted wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
