  • Height 16 cm
seated in vajraparyankasana on a double-lotus throne, holding a ghanta in the left hand and a vajra in the right, wearing the bodhisattva jewelry adorned with semi-precious stones, the hair piled high into a jatamukata and wearing an ornamented crown, the face serene with downcast eyes Himalayan Art Resources item no. 13613.

Acquired between 1959-2005.

Condition

In good overall condition. With blue polychromy visible and flaking from the hair. Gilding to the face intact but in some areas showing cracking. Inset jewels original with some missing in the crown armlets and anklets. Some accretion and tarnishing throughout. Original base plate intact and sealed.
