the Buddha seated in meditation atop the body of a coiled serpent, incised patterns illustrating the intricate patterns of the scales, with his hands in dhyanamudra, wearing a dhoti fastened high along the sides of the waist, a wide diadem holds in place the conical shaped mukuta, with a wide nose and full lips, the face with serene expression, seated under the splayed seven-headed naga King Muchalinda

Condition

In very good overall condition. With traces of black lacquer and red polychromy visible throughout on both the front and back of the sculpture. Possible reshaping of facial features.
