Description

32,000 USD Of floral design, set throughout with old mine and rose-cut diamonds, highlighted with round and cushion-cut demantoid garnets, brooch fitting detachable, fitted with hinged pendant loop, one diamond missing; circa 1870.

Condition

In good condition, especially given the age of the piece, with many areas of oxidation and discoloration to the metal commensurate with age; one very small rose-cut diamond missing, noticeable only upon very close inspection. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 15.00 carats, are approximately G-K color, predominantly VS-SI clarity, with a few I examples. The demantoid garnets are medium slightly yellowish green, slightly included, many with abrasions and a few bearing chips to the crown. Gross weight approximately 21 dwts. Length approximately 3⅝ inches.
