Description

48,000 USD Composed of floral and foliate motifs, set with old mine, old European and rose-cut diamonds, length 14 inches, with French assay and workshop marks; circa 1880 with later modifications.

Condition

In good condition given the age of this piece; several links along the foliate chain would benefit from being soldered shut. French assay mark for 18 karat gold, mounted in silver topped gold, with tarnish and light scratches commensurate with age and wear. The five largest diamonds (located on the three flower heads) weighing a total of approximately 2.25 carats, approximately F-G color, VS clarity, with some chips visible under 10x magnification. The remaining diamonds are near colorless, and of various clarities.
