Catalogue Note

The Patek Philippe reference 1578 was first introduced in 1943 and was in production until approximately 1965. The reference is immediately distinguished by its faceted "spider lugs". The present watch can be considered one of the best examples due to its condition. The case is unpolished and preserved in excellent condition. The lugs are beautifully faceted and very sharp to the touch. The hard enamel signature is beautifully raised. This example stands as a reference point for the 1578 and is close to new condition.
