Condition

MVT: is running at the time of cataloguing and the chronograph working. Minute corrosion is visible around the movement when closely examining it. CASE: in great condition with incredibly sharp lugs, wonderful proportions and nice brushed metal finishing. The MK 1 bezel in great condition with very minor surface marks. The case with very minor surface wear only. The bracelet with light wear and stretching, clasp stamped 78350 and endlinks stamped 571. DIAL: in great condition. The lume plots are all intact and reacting evenly to UV light, fading quickly afterwards. This example is in fabulous original condition. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. Catalogue Note

The Rolex Daytona reference 6241 was produced from approximately from 1966 to 1969 and is an incredible example. Featuring a three color dial configuration, this reference 6241 is an exceptional example with an incredibly crisp case and extremely well-preserved dial. The case features bold and crisp proportions and incredibly crisp numbers between the lugs. The dial is in incredible condition with all lume plots ageing consistently and are full and intact reacting well under UV. The MK 1 bezel is correct for this reference.
