Condition

Appears to retain its original stretchers. Craquelure thorughout. The canvas has been lined along the edges only, approximately 1 to 2 inches of additional canvas added in order to apply back to the stretchers. There are a couple of old repairs one appearing in the background to the girl's right side at the lower edge of the crest rail of the chair approximately 3 inches in length. The other repair is to the girl's proper right elbow in the shape of an L approximately 3 inches vertically and horizontally. There are two old punctures that have been repaired; one in the upper right quadrant of the background and the other in the lower left quadrant of the background, each approximately 1" x 1". There is visible in-painting under UV to these restoration's, as well as to the exterior of the girl's right ear, approximately 4 inches in length from just above her ear to her neck. Once property has been transferred from our York Avenue location, it will not be available for collection at Crozier Fine Arts until Friday, January 25, 2019. Crozier's hours of operation for collection are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday. Please note, certain items of property, including but not limited to jewelry, watches, silver and works on panel will remain at 1334 York Avenue.
