  • etching printed in grey, a delicate impression of this very rare print, on laid paper with the FJH watermark (B. 5)
  • plate: 16.5 by 13.8cm.; 6 1/2 by 5 1/4 in.; sheet: 21.5 by 15.5cm.; 8 1/2 by 6in.
  • Executed between 1911 and 1912, the present work is the only recorded proof of this subject.

Condition

With full margins, two short vertical tears at the upper sheet edge (one backed with Japan paper), a small paper flaw below the image, pale uneven discoloration and slight surface soiling in the margins, backboard-staining, framed. (Pencil inscriptions in the upper margin).
