Condition

Both: Watercolor and gouache on paper. The works present very well and they are ready to hang in their current state. Each sheet is hinged to the mat in three places along the upper edge. Both have a few spots of surface accretion that are possibly inherent to the artist's materials; artist pinholes in the corners; faint scattered handling creases; minor surface dirt and dust; and a very few tiny tears that have been addressed by a restorer along the lower edge. The torn corners on both have been replaced by auxiliary paper. Both have minor, scattered spots of discoloration verso. The first: there is an additional repaired tear at lower left slightly above the edge as well as a diagonal, barely perceptible scratch in the sky at upper left. The lower edge has been irregularly cut. The second: there is a very small repaired loss along the upper right edge.
