Untitled (Figures): Small tears and folds visible that have been laid down onto backing paper. Small losses and associated craquelure are apparent upon close inspection, due to the fragile nature of the medium. Water stains and light wear are also visible at various places. Untitled (Mother and Child): The paper has been reinforced and laid down for stability. Cracking and losses to paint are visible which are consistent with age and medium. Minor undulations, surface dirt and wear are also noted upon close inspection. Both works have recently been cleaned, consolidated, reinforced, flattened, and had masking tape at the edges of the reverse removed by a professional restorer. Both works are in good overall condition, as viewed. Please note that both of these works have not been inspected outside the frames by Sotheby's.
