the pear-shaped body supported on a spreading foot and rising to a waisted neck and flared rim, covered overall in white slip overlaid with a black-coffee-colored glaze, the central band around the body with the glaze cut away to reveal reserve-decorated cartouches of floral sprays, the shoulder similarly carved with a band of reserved foliate scroll, the recessed base unglazed

Condition

There is a restored break across the neck and small chips to the foot. There are minor manufacturing imperfections (including irregular thickness of the glaze at the lower body) and minor surface abrasion consistent with age and burial.
