Condition

This work is in good and sound condition overall. The colors are vibrant, and the lettering on the signs is stable and securely affixed. Each of the rectangular sign elements and the central pole present wear consistent with outdoor installation, including minor surface scratches throughout, oxidation around each of the bolts that hold the work together, and scattered spots of minor media loss on each of the signs primarily on the upper and lower planes along the edges of the signs and around the bolts. Larger media losses are present in the following locations: a one-inch rectangular area on the upper plane of the green sign "BEIJING", a one-inch diagonal area on the frontal plane above "Desmond Tutu" on the black sign "JOHANNESBURG", and two diagonal lines of loss measuring two and one inches respectively are present on the upper plane of the red sign "TIME IS MONEY". A six-by-two-inch rectangular area of light surface accretions is present on the upper plane of the green sign "BEIJING."
