Condition

Overall very good condition. The shade displays vibrant shades of orange-yellow, bright red and green, and warm amber, which is slightly more nuanced when viewed firsthand compared to the printed catalogue illustration. The shade with approximately 10 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, stable. The shade with some extremely light surface soiling concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. One translucent amber tile on the bottom row of the shade with a small and minor edge loss. The base is in excellent condition and displays a deep russet brown patina and finely cast decoration. The bronze surfaces with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and light surfaces soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The bronze with traces of oxidation throughout visible in the catalogue illustration. The sockets and paddle switches all appear to be original and undisturbed. With a matching period finial in very good condition with some extremely minor irregularities in the etching and some scattered minor traces of oxidation and discoloration. An extremely dynamic shade and base model that draws inspiration from Native American baskets, which Louis C. Tiffany collected extensively. A gorgeous example of this charming and sophisticated model.
