Overall in very good condition, age appropriate condition. The wood surfaces with minor scattered scuffs, scratches, nicks, and minor areas of rubbing, consistent with age and gentle use. There is a contemporary extension added to the bottom of the door, measuring 7 ¼ x 35 ½ x 1 ¾ in, visible in the catalogue illustration. The underside edge of the door with a loss to the wood measuring approximately ¼ x 7 ½ in. and only partially visible when the door is installed. The painted wood surfaces with some minor crazing throughout, typical for the material. The reverse side of the door is executed in stained fir with a central iron door knocker. Please ask a member of the dept for photos of the reverse. This side of the door with some areas of rubbing, concentrated to the lower portions of the door. The metal elements throughout with some minor scuffs, scratches, and instances of rubbing and minor oxidation, all consistent with age and gentle use. The glass is likely original and in very good condition with only a few very minor surface scratches. There are to bars (one above and one below) the glass window for hanging curtains, the bottom one presents with a slide bend. One of Molesworth's most iconic motifs the door is a vibrant and rare example of Molesworth's Western High Style.
