Catalogue Note

A good collection of works, bound in one volume, by John Speidell, a London mathematics teacher and follower of Napier. A Breefe treatise of sphaericall triangles should have as its second part, A geometricall extraction. According to ESTC and STC this is usually the 1617 edition of the latter, however in this copy it is present at the front of the volume in its first edition of 1616.
