FIRST EDITION (first issue), 4 parts in one volume, 4to (185 x 134mm.), 6 engraved plates, one folding, woodcut diagrams, last 2 leaves blank, contemporary panelled calf gilt, gilt edges, modern folding cloth box, upper pastedown restored (old owner's name excised?), binding somewhat rubbed, rebacked retaining original spine
