the rounded sides with stepped horizontal ribs incised with foliage and diamond motifs, the curved shoulders with five upright tubular spouts, below a domed cover with a stepped knopped finial, covered in a translucent olive-green crackled glaze

Condition

The jar is in general good condition except for an approx. 2cm hairline crack. There are also a number of chips to the footrim and one to the interior rim of the cover (approx. 2.5cm by 7mm). There is a small chip to one spout (approx. 6mm by 6mm), and a smaller one on another. There are a number of firing cracks to the body running under the base of the spouts and the glaze is crackled throughout.
