  • Height 13 1/2 in., 34 cm
the figure in dhyanasana with hands in dharmachakra mudra, the face and neck cold-gilded with polychrome painted features, the monk's robes draped in voluminous pleats and folds

Purchased in East Asia in the 1970s.

Condition

One half of a finger lost. The base lost, revealing a few consecration scrolls lodged in the figure's head. The surface with wear, scratches, and loss to gilding, especially to the face. The sides of the arms showing square apertures where attributes likely were affixed. With scattered minor dents and compressed areas.
