Description

  • Height 4 5/8  in., 11.6 cm
set with a pair of strap handles to the shoulder, covered overall with a black glaze, applied to one side with a russet splash, the glaze falling well short of the foot to reveal the buff-colored stoneware body 

Condition

The jar is in overall good condition for its age with only minor expected wear to the surface, small chips to the foot, and minor manufacturing imperfections (including kiln adhesions to the interior and flakes and impressed lines to the unglazed body).
